Ryan Dobbs, Senior Pastor

Ryan Dobbs is a passionate communicator Biblical truth and a dedicated advocate for religious liberty, global justice, the sanctity of life, and the rule of law. As a pastor, evangelist, author, speaker, and ministry leader, Ryan seeks to influence the church and culture as he preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ and proclaims the truth of God’s Word.

Ryan serves as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Tom Bean, the founder and President of Discipleworks International, and the founder and Executive Director of Revival in America Ministries, organizations focused on making disciples and making a difference throughout the world. He is the author of several books, including Living with Purpose and Passion and The Time Is Now, which was endorsed by such influential Christian leaders as Randy Alcorn and Dr. Robert Jeffress. Ryan’s first work of fiction, a novel entitled Redemption, was released in February of 2016.

After completing a portion of his undergraduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ryan graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Religion. Believing more pastors and Christian leaders need a deeper understanding of the law and government—particularly related to religious liberty, the sanctity of life, global justice, and the rule of law—Ryan enrolled in the joint degree program at Regent University, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he completed both a Juris Doctor and Master of Arts degree.

Ryan is married to Sarah, who is a teacher and director of children’s ministry; together they will welcome their first child, a daughter, in October of 2019. When not working in ministry, Ryan enjoys traveling, reading, coaching baseball, playing the piano and guitar, writing music, trying new restaurants, visiting historic landmarks, and spending time with family and friends.
