This is a Quarterly Newsletter from our Pastor/ Lead Elder Patrick Bottoms

Summary of Jan-March 2026

Our first quarter at First Baptist Church Tom Bean has been marked by a continued commitment to being built on the Word, through prayer, for God’s glory. As Pastor Patrick reflects in The Shepherd’s Voice, the church is not merely a gathering, but the family of God, united by our shared confession of Christ and called to actively encourage, strengthen, and refresh one another in the faith.

This unity is not passive—it is lived out as each member uses their gifts for the good of the body and the glory of God. The gospel not only saves but also matures and equips the church, reminding us of our need to gather regularly with purpose and intentionality.

We were also encouraged to grow in our personal walk with the Lord through three rhythms of engaging Scripture: reading for familiarity, study, and meditation—a pattern that helps deepen both understanding and devotion.

As we look ahead, we anticipate celebrating key events like Resurrection Sunday, upcoming fellowship gatherings, and continuing our sermon series in Job, followed by our next series in Revelation: Letters to the Seven Churches, along with Wednesday night studies focused on biblical typology.

Financially, the Lord has faithfully provided, and we remain prayerful as we steward what has been given toward the work of the gospel.

Soli Deo Gloria — to God alone be the glory.
