Discussions about the Trinity can be very difficult for even the most mature believer because our finite minds were just not designed to understand the infinite God and creator of all. That doesn’t mean that we are to avoid this teaching, because it is in the searching that God is glorified and we are blessed to discover more about the holiness of the Lord we serve.

During this family camp, the children may ask questions that you may not feel you can answer. Let me encourage you to not be afraid to say “I don’t know”. Let me further encourage you to follow that up with “Let’s find out together”. Our children need to see us struggle with the deep things of God because it helps them grow and should they come to a saving faith, they will better know how to wrestle with the hard parts of the Bible.

Each day of the family camp, we will focus on one member of the Trinity. This way we can seek to better understand why it is so important to know that God is three and yet one. This will also better help us to understand more of why the Gospel is so amazing.
