Wednesday Prayer and Family Groups @ 6:30pm

Wednesday Nights at FBC Tom Bean are for further equipping the body of believers that make up our church family.  It is a time to connect through studying God's Word and praying for one another.  On most Wednesdays, we break into Family Groups with an Elder/Deacon leading the groups and facilitating the lesson and group discussion prepared by our pastor.

Some Wednesdays we all gather in the Fellowship Hall for shared instruction.

Wednesdays are for the WHOLE Family to be together.  So we have a sheet for kids to follow along and engage with the study.

We would love for your family to join us!!

Current Study:

Biblical Typology
Seeing Christ Throughout the Bible

Biblical typology helps us understand how God uses real people, events, and stories in the Old Testament to point forward to the greater work He would accomplish through Jesus Christ.

These patterns were intentionally woven by God to prepare His people for the coming Savior. As we study them together, we’ll see how the whole Bible tells one unified story of redemption and how every part ultimately leads us to Christ.

Week 1

Introduction to Biblical Typology

Here are the notes from Week 1

Week 2

Adam as a type of Christ

We continued our Biblical Typology study by looking at Adam as a foreshadow of Christ. We saw how one man’s failure brought death — and how Jesus, the Second Adam, brings life to all who believe.
So much gospel truth packed into one night!

Week 3

Aaron as the High Priest

This week’s study examined Aaron as a type of Christ, showing how his role as High Priest pointed forward to Jesus. Aaron’s limitations highlighted the greater fulfillment found in Christ, our sinless and eternal High Priest who offered Himself once for all and continually intercedes for His people.

Week 4

The Levitical Priesthood

This week’s study examined the Levitical Priesthood

Week 5

Aaron's Staff

God confirms His chosen priest through the budding of Aaron’s staff, showing that true priesthood comes by divine appointment, not human ambition. This sign points forward to Christ, our Great High Priest, who brings life where there was death.

Week 6

Moses: A Type of Christ

This week in our Biblical Typology study, we considered Moses as a type of Christ. Moses delivered Israel from slavery and gave the Law, yet his ministry was incomplete. Christ, the greater Redeemer, fulfills the Law, bears its curse, and brings God’s people fully into God’s rest as families worship and learn together.

Week 7

The Rock Once Struck Now Spoken To

Exploring how Christ is revealed as the Rock and God’s faithful provision for His people

Week 8

The Garden-The Tabernacle-The Temple-Christ

In this week's study we trace the story from the Garden, to the Tabernacle, to the Temple—and see how Jesus fulfills it all.

Week 9

Joshua & The Conquest

This week's study served as a Typology of Christ's Redemptive Work

Week 10

The Bronze Serpent & Christ

This week's study looked at the Bronze Serpent as we consider the why and how it points us to Christ.
